It has been known for almost a year now that Jim Mora was going to replace Mike Holmgren as the Seahawks' next coach. The only question is how will Mora fill out his staff and which of Holmgren's assistants will Mora retain on his staff.
As for player needs, the Seahawks will have to acquire a big wide receiver, a defensive tackle who can rush the passer, a cornerback with size and a quality running back who can carry the load for an entire season.

The biggest thing the Seattle Seahawks have to guard against when they are formulating their offseason plan is fooling themselves into thinking that their problems this season are strictly related to injuries.
Certainly that is where the problems started in their worst season since 1992. They lost their first six wide receivers. They lost every one of their starting offensive linemen. They lost their leading pass rusher. It's a good reason for their 4-12 finish.

--DE Patrick Kerney, who played under Jim Mora in Atlanta, said the team can expect far more energetic practices under Mora than they did under Mike Holmgren, in part because Mora actually takes part in some of the practices and challenges the players to keep up.
--Seahawks players gave Holmgren a $40,000 Harley-Davidson motorcycle as a going-away present. Holmgren always said that when he retires, he wants to spend a lot of time riding his motorcycle and thinking.

This mock draft projects 18 seniors and 14 underclassmen being selected in the first round.
