Over the last decade the NFL has seen a lot of characters compete on its storied fields. We have seen locker room tantrums, on field (and off field) lapses in judgement and all out cat fights. During this time that good character has been pushed to the back burner for talent, one standout is being forgotten.
Tedy Bruschi was a man who did not know the meaning of the word quit. After 13 seasons ...

Here’s a game New England Patriots season ticket holders have been awaiting droolingly since approximately Aug. 7, when Brett Favre became a New York Jet. This year’s game, went the gloating reasoning back in those days an epoch ago when Tom Brady had two fully functioning knees, was one the Pats would be easily able to tick off in the win column as Master Belichick destroyed acolyte Eric Mangini ...

Let’s see, what don’t we have for the latest, most obscure chapter of the 2000s New England Patriots-Indianapolis Colts rivalry?
No Tom Brady, no Rodney Harrison, no Laurence Maroney (and, despite the presence of BenJarvus Green-Ellis, little Patriots running game to speak of, really).
No Marlin Jackson, probably no Reggie Wayne. Bob Sanders might be back, but surely rusty.
Peyton Manning will ...

Ah, it wouldn’t be football in the 2000s without accusations of cheating by and/or league favoritism of the New England Patriots. So, to chase the recent bizarre non-exchange that resulted in a brief fascination with “Kneegate” (Sadly, this term is not a RF365 creation, but was rather coined by PatsFans.com member 12+81=TD) comes another reward for a Patriot win: Penalty-gate!

During the weekend of Aug. 7 and 8, the Patriots Platelet Pedalers (PPP) biked across the Bay State, as they've done so many times before, from Sturbridge to Provincetown, at the very tip of Cape Cod. The two-day odyssey is just short of 200 miles total, and it's not exactly a leisurely, scenic ride. But the muscle pain and soreness the riders endure pales in comparison to the true suffering of the cancer patients they're helping save.

When Patriots camp started, the players on the practice field included a whole mess of undrafted free agents. It’s like that every year. And they show up, work a little bit, and mostly shuffle off into another camp.
Every year, though, there is a chance that one actually surges past the drafted guys and makes the [...]

Now that I’ve finally got done scrambling around and writing for the actual, ya know, newspaper, I wanted to make clear something I sent out on Twitter a little while ago.

Darnell Jenkins probably wouldn’t be confused with any known trash-talkers. He falls more in the category of being the reserved type.
But given he grew up in the same Miami neighborhood as Chad Ochocinco and has similar explosiveness on the field, that was good enough to earn him the pleasure of playing the Bengals receiver [...]

Patriots WR Randy Moss raised some eyebrows yesterday, telling a reporter for CBS Sports’ website that he feels “not wanted.” It may not have been a complete surprise given his past remarks, but three key members of the Patriots staff felt differently.
In fact, coach Bill Belichick, director of player personnel Nick Caserio, and QB coach [...]
