Jan. 5--This one never had an upside for the Dolphins. In almost each of the few games they lost this season, you could throw in a woulda-coulda-should. Not Sunday. The Ravens came here to crush the Dolphins, and did it like an elephant stomping an aluminum can, 27-9. There never really was a moment when a Dolphin or Dolfan could say, "Well, if this happens now, or that happens next, we got a shot . . ."

A day after the Ravens abruptly ended one of the NFL's most amazing stories of 2008, Dolphins coach Tony Sparano looked like a man with too much time on his hands.
"I told them that at some point in the next couple days, they're probably going to wake up and feel what I felt today, which was, 'What the hell do I do now?' Right now, for them, they probably got a million things going on, but that's exactly what happened to me this morning," Sparano said.
