With three preseason games in the books, so far so good with the Bills. After the first crushing preseason loss to the Redskins, Bills fans were saying “oh great, groundhogs day…again!?” But after the last two weeks, the Bills look like a much improved team. The Bengals defense started the game focusing on shutting down the Bills running attack, in which they did a good job of it, by holding ...

What is a Pre-season victory worth? In the realm of things a victory in pre-season means nothing-squat-zip-zero and goes into the “Who gives a crap file”. But for the Bills and their fans it gives them a ray of hope for the future that the Bills can put together 4 quarters of good football. We are trying desperately to cling to something or anything positive. As Amir stated victories bring ...

I've always heard and believed that Pre-season doesn't mean anything. It's really for players trying to make the team. It's tryouts for the few roster spots that haven't been filled. I fear that this long held belief of mine doesn't apply to the Buffalo Bills. What if these next few games are really a Preview of the season to come? I saw NOTHING in Friday night's pre-season opener against the ...

On Friday the 13th the Bills will travel to Washington to play the Skins. It will be Coach Gailey and Coach Shanahan’s first outings with there new teams. Chances are it will be a grinding out boring game as usual for the first game out of the box especially with both teams on the rebuilding mode. I’m sure McNabb will only play a series or two and the Bills will counter with Edwards for at least ...

The Dawning of a New Era… The 2010 training camp opens today and it starts a new era in Buffalo Bills history. I know we have been hearing the same thing for the past decade but this time it is different. The front office now has good football people running the show with Nix and Whaley. Say all the negatives you want, but Gailey has a successful resume with a overall 86-55 record as a Head ...

Legends are made by Super Bowl wins. The quarterbacks that could not win the big game are sometimes remembered, but for the most part, they are forgotten. There have been 44 Super Bowl games played and 44 times a quarterback walked away without a ring. Some lost in a last second kick missed by his own kicker, or made by the opposing team's kicker. Other Super Bowl losing quarterbacks just could not put up enough points to compensate for a bad defense.

Super Bowl winners and losers experience embarrassing moments in the big game. The difference between making a mistake in a regular season game and the Super Bowl is when you do it in the regular season the whole world is not watching. Sometimes these skilled and highly trained athletes can be the victims of the worst mistakes or make the most horrendous decisions anyone has ever seen. When it happens in the Super Bowl, it winds up on a top five list for posterity's sake.

Greatness for NFL quarterbacks is measured in many ways. One of the ways that quarterbacks are measured is by how many Super Bowls they have won, or even lost. But there is a class of quarterbacks that can be called great that never even got the chance to show off their talents in the Super Bowl. These are the five best quarterbacks to play in the NFL that never played in a Super Bowl. 5) Randall Cunningham Randall Cunningham played for various teams including his best years as a Philadelphia Eagle, he played in pro bowls and he played in playoff games.

Settle on a starting quarterback. Nurse an offensive line together. Learn the 3-4 defensive scheme.

When it comes to what transpired in Bills training camp and the prospects for the 2010 season, two out of three ain't bad.

Coach Chan Gailey and his staff bit off a lot to chew when they inherited a roster physically beaten up by injuries and mentally beaten up by finishing with a 6-10 record. Buffalo is riding a franchise-record 10-year playoff drought.

With minimal activity in free agency and the drafting of a running back first overall rather than a quarterback, Buffalo is banking on Gailey's offensive creativity and a shift to the in-vogue 3-4 on defense to make it competitive again in the rugged AFC East.

Gailey promised a competition for the starting QB...

A capsule look at reasons for concern among teams in the AFC East: Buffalo Bills 1. Left tackle. The Bills might not be good enough at the position. LT Demetrius Bell struggled mightily last season and has gotten limited preseason reps coming off knee surgery, so stamina might be an issue. RT Cornell Green has not looked good in pass protection. The Bills must limit long-yardage situations because shaky pass protection could endanger QB Trent Edwards.
